Male femora and/or tibiae with vertical hairs in high density (Huber 2000) Short vertical hairs occur on all leg segments, but usually they are concentrated on the distal segments (metatarsus, tarsus), and are few and far apart. In a few taxa, such vertical hairs occur in much higher than usual density on the male walking leg femora and/or tibiae. The condition in Platnicknia is not known.
